Adrian Perkins
The song “Make em Laugh” could have been written for Adrian as he is never happier than when he is making others smile. From the age of 15 he performed with The Czuplak Ukrainian Dance Company performing all over the world. As he started to slow down, he took an interest in the musical theatre. Adrian made his debut for EMS in 2001, joining his eldest son Shane on stage in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (ironically they were cast as brother and suitor, both competing for the same girl: youth triumphed over experience). Other roles include “Allan-a-Dale” in “Babes in the Wood” for The Sawley Players. Adrian must be one of our busiest members as he is on both the main and social committees, as well as the programme, publicity and website teams! Somewhere amongst all this he still finds time to run the family promotional gifts company. Adrian’s other son, Travis has followed his footsteps and appeared on stage for EMS. |
