Mark Haigh
Mark as been with the society since 2005 and has become someone with an immense amount of enthusiasm to match his undoubted talent. He has also been a member of The Sawley Players for many years where he relishes playing the villain in their annual pantomimes: in November 2005 he played “King Rat” in their version of “Dick Whittington”. Mark is a talented musician who writes his own music in his spare time; he is currently employed by Foulds music shop in Derby where he is an expert in keyboard instruments. He once bared his all for a fund raising calendar with just a cricket bat to spare his blushes!

Hobbies: Well, apart from the obvious, I am a keen crickter and enjoy knocking my balls around a tennis court. I am also a keen song writer
Favourite Music: So many to choose from: Well I like a lot of the Rat Pack stuff, but also Crowded House, White Lion, amongst others
Most wanted to play: Phantom from "Phantom of the Opera" What a Show
First job: Paper round in Sawley
First ever record: "Waking up the Neighbours" by Bryan Adams, and it was a cassette not a record
Favourite film: It changes so often, but at the moment, "Pirates of the Caribbean - Curse of the Black Pearl"
Interesting story: I have served Jack Dee, Jethro Tull, and several other celebs in Foulds Music Shop in Derby where I work
