Erewash Musical Society are ready to get people dancing in the pews with smash-hit musical comedy Sister Act.
We are now busy rehearsing for the family-friendly, feel-good musical comedy, Sister Act, which will hit the Duchess Theatre stage in October.
Packed with infectious songs inspired by Motown, funk, soul and disco, Sister Act is all based on the hit 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith.
The show tells the hilarious story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and is put in protective custody in the last place anyone would think to look – a convent.
Dave Dallard, Chairman of Erewash Musical Society and Musical Director of Sister Act, said: “The energy in rehearsals for this show is through the roof and we can’t wait to bring this fantastic show to life.
“We’re really excited to get to show week and can’t wait to get on the Duchess Theatre stage.”
The production is showing at the Duchess Theatre in Long Eaton Monday 3 to Saturday 8 October 2016.
Evening performances will take place at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee starting at 2.30pm.
Tickets are priced from £10.00 and are available to purchase online via www.erewashmusicalsociety.co.uk/tickets , at the Duchess Theatre on Saturday mornings or via the Box Office 0115 882388.
